I would like to see the people of Arizona play hardball with the Federal government. Boycott all Federal agencies. Some civil disobenience like blockading the Ports of Entry from Mexico would be appropriate. But I don't expect this to happen.

The sad part of this is that an elected President of this country is taking sides with people from another country and not the side of it's own citizens...

True. Even DREAMies realize this.

Sometimes I get mad at President Obama for his inactions, but when times like these come, I am just happy that he is willing to stand up for us. He could easily turn his back and abandon us "illegals", but he is taking action.

I am proud of Mr. Obama for this and very grateful.

Remember that there are times where people from "another country" could be on the legally correct side of an issue, while his "own citizens" could be on the legally incorrect side. It doesn't mean that illegal immigration should not be taken seriously. But we have constitutional rules, and if Arizona's bill is unconstitutional, it needs to be abolished, and Arizona needs to learn to play by the rules and be more careful while crafting bills next time.

Without the republican obstructionism the Dems didn't have a chance come Nov. Now it's even money.

Most African Americans are still probably going to vote Democrat. It is highly unlikely that the Republican Party will attract a significant African American following. The post-"Southern Strategy" post-LBJ Republican Party is not trusted by most African Americans.
