If he is a convicted felon, I believe he should be deported. However, he obviously is not characteristic of the majority of illegal immigrants that already live here. So I guess if you commit a serious offense you should get deported. If not, there should be a path to being documented if you came here illegally.

Theres is a path to go through to go from being a illegal immigrant to a legal one. It's called legally immigrating. Many legal immigrants have already gone that route, hence the whole "legal" word. Come on.....is this really news?

So a serious offense does not include lying, cheating, stealing and defrauding America's citizens and their Government?

You seem to have a lot of economic statistics. Do you have any statistics on the percentage of illegals that use deception, false names, false SS#'s, fake ID's and other fraudulent documents to maintain their presence here illegally?

How many illegal families break city zoning regulations where they live? Ie: Number of families per living unit, single family dwelling or apartment?

How many illegals drive cars with out proper licenses to do so?

What defines a serious offense?

No, I don't. Making things in such stark terms is pretty monochromatic.

It's really not that way. There is a certain mental test that everything goes through in "my world" before it emerges for further consideration. If it is not equitable, just and fair to all, regardless of their being rich or poor, it doesn't get to pass go or collect $200...lol

I like you Califreeman, but I think you're wrong on just about everything and on many levels. We're miles apart, and at opposite ends of the illegal migration debate facing America. But I attribute most of that to your youth.

I mean you know logic is one of those attributes of youth. Let me reiterate something, I don't have a dogmatic stance. Therefore, there are some things I will acknowledge is consistent with the current findings on both sides. From that I try to determine what makes sense. Not the preamble, not age, but what the actuality of the events are. It cheapens your stance when you don't see both sides. It really can be detrimental for a society that doesn't address immigration in a way that takes the immigrants into consideration.
