Not true. Most in the media are hacks. The days when a credible news source like Walter Cronkite have been over for a very, very long time. Today's journalists are to be trusted about as much as politicians.
If it was a true crisis, the media would be all over it. They want stories that sell-- and crisis' sell for sure.
It may be all about money for some people, I'm not one of them. Worrying about money is a waste of time, trying to do something about the illigitimicy(on both sides) can help take care of the money problem.

There are and have been, numerous stories, from all over the nation, about illegal immigrants committing many, many crimes: Murders, rapes, Robberies - you name it -

Not me, here in Nebraska and Iowa I hear about them all the time on the local news broadcasts. Although the national newscasts usually choose to stay away from them.

Says a lot about the media coverage where I live and where you live. And it is way obvious who has more illegals. I think all the anti-illegal news stations are just cherry picking these articles.
