The '60s were a time of change - the Civil Rights movement radically changed the political, and sociological environment in the United States
Is it perhaps time for the American People to, once again, rise up and DEMAND that our government STRONGLY ENFORCE Immigration laws already on the books?
Is it perhaps time to "take to the streets" like the '60s?

I'm beginning to think it might be -
You?
I share your faith brother!!
That's the voice we need to hear, full support!!!
Fight this war with peace, love, non violence and music, and win it!!
True, and when Gandhi liberated India, many lifes were lost, including his at the end, it is a war and wars are like that.
But don't fight violence with violence, let it come from the other side and resist it with spiritual might!
Yes, many lives were lost but if you think anyone should sit back and allow themselves to be run over and/or hurt by someone else then you have lost your marbles.

Dear Ozark, if you haven't watched it, I kindly suggest you to see the movie of Gandhi's life, Ben Kignsley personifies him greatly!
Well, I think this "uprising" will happen all by itself, since there are so many pockets of it all over the country. Just look at all the laws that are being made state by state, because people are FED UP with the federal government not doing its job.
And, just look at the fact that illegal immigration has become a MAJOR issue in the presidential race - that did NOT happen in the past. Only a small group was concerned about illegal immigration until the last few years.
So, it's already happening, but, yes, we must take to the streets. I leave it to the young people because I can't walk that far anymore! I did my bit 40 years ago. Not that I wouldn't do it, but I do think if more young people would come forward (and, frankly, I don't know the percentage of them who are anti-illegal), it could be done, just like we did years ago.
