Here's the percentage of white voters in Presidential elections since 1992:

1992: 87%
1996: 83%
2000: 81%
2004: 77%
2008: 74%
2012: 72%

The white percentage in off-year elections is higher than in presidential years, but it's falling as well:

1994: 86%
1998: 83%
2002: 81%
2006: 79%
2010: 77%
2014: 75%

Based on the existing progression, we can reasonably expect an electorate in the Presidential election of 2016 to be 70% white; a drop of 5% from this year's off-year election. The white percentage will increase to about 73% in the off-year election of 2018, but it will still be about 2% less than it was this year. By 2020, the white percentage in that presidential election will be in the high 60s. And so it goes. That's just the grim reaper at work. It will affect some states more than others, but the die is cast as far as the overall numbers are concerned.
BTW: many "Hispanic" people ARE "white" too and word is the longer their families have been the US, the more "anglo white" in culture they become. Back in the day: us "Irish" were NOT considered to be white, we ranked BELOW "free people of color" 200 years ago. American Blacks; as the hood rats die out, the rest are stepping up and merging into the anglo white world too.

Even looking at just Indian Hispanic and Asian people; their birthrates are also crashing like a rock.

You know, I am amazed at how much effort the liberal community on this board is undertaking to convince us to adopt their viewpoint in order for the GOP to win future elections. Why make such an effort unless you are setting us up to fail.

Uh; the crazy part is a "liberal" back in the JFK day is almost a "conservative" or at least a Blue Dog Dem in 2014.

Hispanics' most important issue considered when voting:

Economy: 49%
Illegal Immigration: 16%

Doesn't bode well for Dems or any form of amnesty.
I don't believe that that poll is accurate. I already provided links to the contrary. Those of Mexican ancestry overwhelmingly want amnesty and illegal immigration is a top priority with them.

Pew Research is pretty reliable.

Depends on how the poll was worded and what type of Hispanics were questioned. Geez, all you have to do is read the news and open your eyes and ears and you would know otherwise. Most of those of Mexican ancestry have immigration/amnesty on the front burner and they are the largest national group here in our country of the Hispanic persuasion.

The GOP isn't going to do anything to upset its corporate base which depends on cheap labor. Don't expect more than faux outrage and tough talk about impeachment. Bush had 8 years in office with a Republican Congress the entire time and what was done about illegal immigration? Nothing. Likewise, how vocal have Democrats been about civil liberties since Obama got in office and the situation is in many ways worse?

Politicians are obviously not working for the vast majority of Americans.

Uh; politicians DO listen to the "squeaky wheel". Meaning people who keep the Feds' feet in the fire. La raza and their fans got away with it till about 2006: now people on the OTHER side of amnesty for illegal aliens are raising a ruckus and how in 2014.

I know tons of light skinned white-ish Hispanics. None of them identify as white despite blatant ties to European heritage. And these are 3rd or 4th generation. I'm very skeptical of the "whitening Hispanics" idea especially when we basically force them to embrace a pan-Hispanic identity.
