Mayor of L.A has been talking recently about how the illegals are an important part of our economy. If our economy can only operate with people here illegally that's pretty sad and it's a lie and fear mongering .
As you mentioned there are plenty of legal Americans from other places that would move here if a slot opened up . There is a housing shortage in Los Angeles and the Bay Area .

Areas currently occupied by illegals would be more desirable . Illegals of course are unlikely to get involved in local politics or raise issues to the city .
Perhaps one reason why politicians in Los Angeles and the other sanctuary cities might like them .
I love how they state that, ex post facto, the city could not function without a people currently living here so they cannot be removed. You could make the same argument across the board in regards to the invasion of any country such that any occupation force can never be removed because they're already there so that's that.

Well when the left drops on LA, Boston and Chicago I word how these cities will engage the federal Government? They are acting like the have their own private Army?

Also another argument they have been trying to make is that we need to be nice to the illegals so that they cooperate with law enforcement and report crime to the police.
High likelihood the criminals they are reporting are illegals too and have been known troublemakers that would be deported if not for the sanctuary city status of the politicians .

They created this mess themselves !

Looking forward to seeing that list being published of all the crimes these "hard working immigrants" are committing.
Sad that's its taken this long .

Union construction trades jobs used to be a solid ticket to the middle class. No more the illegals broke the unions back and now if you don't speak spanish forget a construction job which now pays half of what it used to.
All Trump wants to do is if the police have a illegal in custody for some crime is for our police to hold them until the Federals come for them.
Many americans have free lunch, on welfare and everything else you said. And union backs aren't broken by illegals. Republicans have been trying to get rid of unions for decades because republicans really aren't for the middle class. They are more for the rich. Union construction jobs are still a solid ticket for the middle class though. And they don't offer half the pay, they offer more. But most immigrants do landscaping, lawn mowing, cleaning houses which most americans don't want to do.

This is nonsense that Americans don't want to do those jobs. Obviously someone isn't going to mow lawns or clean houses if they have better paying options , but not every American has the education and/or skills to be a computer programmer, lawyer , doctor or some other high paying career.

There are no American born people or LEGAL immigrants doing landscaping, housekeeping ?

Regarding unions..
So Trump must of done terrible with union members , right?

Wrong!

So wages have to go UP for those "low skill" jobs. Either that or WE have to do our own dirty work, it is what it is.

Too; US kids used to do that kind of work before illegal aliens were allowed to stay in the US.

Do you and your spouse want to clean floors and toilets. Do you want to work the fields at farms. No, you don't. Trump has done nothing with unions but have a meeting. So what. Of course they have to be hopeful. My husband's boss was there. And it may have been a different discussion behind closed doors when they left the white house. We don't really know do we.
