No sympathies from me, she had 20 years to take care of this issue.

Former Marine's wife being deported to Mexico | Fox News

Quote:
Tears flowed as Alejandra Juarez checked in for her flight to Mexico Friday at Orlando International Airport.

She said that if she could talk with President Donald Trump, she'd ask how he could let this happen, since her husband served the United States.

Oh darn, lol.

I am a veteran, my wife is an immigrant, she came here and resided here legally, and is now a citizen.

What makes her think she is more special than my wife, not having to abide by the legal requirements to enter and/or stay in the country?

As a veteran who served in Desert Storm, I cannot accurately express my outrage at the use of the "veterans card" when someone does something wrong but want to get a pass.

Being a Vet is no excuse for poor behavior. The VAST majority of the veterans I know believe that being a veteran is a call to a higher standard.

PS. I know a couple where the husband is an American citizen. they had 2 kids. she was illegal. I don't know how they engaged the system to change her status but in the end, they were forced to go to Mexico where she is from.

That process lasted for less than 6 months and they are now back and she is here legally.

It is possible for a person in this situation to get it resolved and to get it resolved in a relatively timely manner.

Why is ICE wasting their time with a woman married to a Marine, neither of whom has caused any problems in the US??? To hear Lil Donnie Boy, all ICE is doing is rounding up MS-13. Ha!

ICE is like any other part of the federal bureaucracy....sitting on their arses in their offices, and upping their "apprehension" stats by deporting those who come in (as told to) for routine yearly visits to immigration.

No pity from me. Actions have consequences - she broke the law and is now paying the price.

Really, she asks why Trump could do this to her.
She is the one who chose to cross the border illegally twice. She is the one who chose not to take measures to become a legal citizen. She is the one who chose to remain in the country illegally. She did this to herself.

So anyone who has/is braking the law should get a pass from the consequences because they have not been making waves. Or only those married to someone in the military?

What I'm wondering is what sort of Marine her husband is if he wasn't encouraging her every minute to get her status legalized and squared away. I assume he wanted her to be able to stay and not get deported?
