Texas LEO's and judges are not qualified to determine the immigration status of anyone. The real issue will come when someone that CBP has paroled into the US is charged with violating the Texas law. The Feds win that one every time.
Hold on, they aren't qualified to check for a valid ID? And then arrest them and maybe even throw them over the border if they don't have one?
And republicans will continue to allow it and do nothing but cower in a corner.
I would say the average working American is pretty much screwed.
It's more like 98% of Americans are screwed, including most of the ones who are making this happen. They lack the foresight to understand what this will result in, or they simply don't care about the future, but either way their great-grandchildren -- if they have any -- will live a miserable life compared to theirs.
Biden's got more big problems. He thinks he's a dictator. Even Democrats are distancing themselves from him.
Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) criticized the State Department’s circumvention of Congress in approving a $147.5 million arms sale to Israel. Kaine, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, demanded a “public explanation of the rationale behind this decision — the second such decision this month.”
This is impeachable. Biden can't do this. The State Department can't approve arm sales.

Well I would like to see congress do that, but Im betting the farm that they wont.
Texas has zero ability to put someone in prison or threaten them with prison when that person has been admitted by the Federal government. Texas cannot determine eligibility for asylum. That is a Federal decision that Texas has to live with.
Texas is going to grab Julio after he illegally enters the country in plain sight and charge him with trespassing. Texas doesn’t need to know Julio’s immigration status, or eligibility for asylum, or wait for the Feds to admit him to book him for trespassing.
If the Feds want to determine his immigration status, eligibility for asylum, or admit him, they can talk to Julio after his stay in the clink.
Texas can also tell Julio, “Serve six months for trespassing, or go back to Mexico.” That’s because “going back to Mexico” isn’t a deportation. Julio doesn’t need to be ordered by an immigration judge to choose to go back to Mexico.
The jurisdictional conflict you imply doesn’t exist.

If it's the Feds that are responsible for enforcing our immigration laws then why aren't they putting troops on the border to stop these people from getting into our country? The Border Patrol are only being instructed to process them instead.
