Of those 10,000 border crossers, how many are immediately turned back?
What's your solution without spending more money on border agents and immigration judges? Don't the existing laws require that some large portion of border crossers receive a hearing? And, clearly, even the ones that get turned back need to be processed in some form. Or are you saying CBP should just toss them back into Mexico without collecting ID/biometric information?
Probably less costly, in the long run, to finish the wall, and while at it, hire the border patrol.
Last major hiring rush for CBP agents and officers was in 2007 under Bush Administration when they hired 10,000 agents and officers
Under Biden administration we have an unprecedented and historic record-breaking SWB illegal crossings and encounters
So, is it the manpower issue for CBP or administration issue?
Are more agents needed to handle the current numbers? That's a pretty simple yes or no question. If there are record numbers trying to get here, there's not a lot the administration can do to discourage them, given how bad life sucks where they come from. And even if they are turned away, it takes agents to process them.
For the aliens that are admitted and in detention, does that require CBP officers, or could that be contracted out or non LEO trained employees used?
One portion of Project 2025 is to build detention camps in the deserts of the Southwest to hold 100,000 detained illegal immigrants. Who would staff those camps, if they are ever built?

As someone who has been on TDYs to SWB during and after MPP, I’d say we need more agents/officers only after Joe Biden removed and cancelled MPP back in 2021.

The volumes were not as large then. MPP isn't coming back, it's a ridiculous policy in any case.

Oh, you mean the volume is not “large” in the CBP detention facilities when you make ALL the migrants stay in Mexico instead of allowing them in and sending them all over US to wait for court date?

If you are going to lie, lie a little less
What law makes MPP legal? Most commentary I've seen from non-Trump sources says the police does not comport with the law.
The GOP is always good at point out the Problems with illegal immigration, ill give them that. But they are absolutely terrible on solutions to solve them.
Let's build a wall Doh
Lets use tax dollars to ship them else
Democrats and Republicans get in a room and figure the crap out. And this goes to the GOP and their supporters. Solutions only at this point, we already know what the dang problem is, Sheesh
