If I were a Mestizo; I would find the Mx telenovelas offensive since precious few Mexicans look 'Anglo'. Virtually all of the lower class roles go to Mestizos whereas the leading ones go to obviously White people of Danish, English, etc. heritage.
Very true! You rarely ever see any actresses period on Spanish television that look like America Ferrara or Eva Longoria Parker.

I have, many times. They DO have some good architecture, as you state...(along with some 'bad'). They SEEM like pretty nice people, I guess.... but it's hard to be sure, since ten percent of the whole population has left the country...

You have a link to prove this "standard of beauty" concept? Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and not everyone thinks alike. Whether or not more dark haired Latino type woman have become Miss Universe doesn't mean a damned thing. It all depends on what the competition was in any given year.

One huge reason that most legal immigrants did well was they forced their children to learn English----------and, in many cases, the mother and father spoke in their ancestral tongues if they had something private to say between each other.
Needless to say: multiculturalism is crap.
Because people like you and even worse back then had a problem with people being different.
But now immigrants know they don't have to coward to bullies like you because you have a problem with people speaking different lanuages or displaying their traditions.
You find people hiding their traditions from the mainstream is cute like it was back then? How sad.
