times have changed. and hundreds of thousands of cubans came without turning into criminals. thats what is called being at the edge of a slippery slope. you slid down and are about to fall off.

this is a very reactionary (and unecpected) post tin. im kind of shocked...

Sanchez an honest hard working refugee who came here for a better life. He first raped this woman then killed her. He then raped the corpse 1 more time for good measure.
This is why we should never loosen restrictions on immigration. He is an example of why we must raise the bar and our expectations of those we would allow to enter and become legal residents.
What do we owe to Haiti? It is a lawless country disease and crime are a way of life.
How many more Helen Demchak's do we want?
What else need be said. Sanchez was one of many criminals who we granted a better life without regard to who or what he was. No biometrics, no background checks no standards.

Don’t we have thousands of our troops protecting the borders of other countries? Why not our own? After all, we do have enemies who are determined to kill as many U.S. citizens as possible. Bin Laden vowed to kill at least 2 million the next time. Why focus on planes, when they can easily walk across our borders?

Happened 5 miles from my parents house. It happened many times. It is still happening. That is why we need only the highest of standards. Demand the best and accept nothing but.
Helen Demchak was a good woman. She was loved by her community.
Times have changed? Well our prisons are filled with changing times then.
Reactionary? Yes it is.

How many good people like Helen have been harmed by people that we should have screened? Kept out of the country? Please don't insult me by saying we have more criminals of our own.
Every victim of an illegal could have and should have been prevented. How? By securing the border and enforcing our laws as if victims mattered.

Your right nukes on the border would be rediculous. The fact remains that we are very good at patroling other countries borders, not to mention the fence line in Cuba. The man power is pay neutral. We are alreadu paying for those soldiers. The man power? Well we certainly had man power to spare to send to Haiti. But seriously. Fresh recruits out of ATF could be assigned with seasoned vets on the border. Excellent hands on training before being sent accross the pond. With each unit have at least on border patrol agent. All pay neutral. Our airforce guys could practice flying drones over the border to build skills of their latest grads from their schools before assigning them duty to support the wars. All pay neutral.

I posted in another forum that there have been a few people from Iraq boating over to Mexico and then coming through the US border. They are here. Its a living nightmare. We basically invited them in by leaving the borders open.
