True, but he's still spending way more than the state can afford so he's part of the problem.

It has everything to do with Quinn and the entire leadership in Springfield. The 5% tax hike was an emergency measure to stabilize the state while they made the painful adjustments needed to bring Illinois back into solvency. Instead they bickered like a bunch of idiots and passed a pension reform that barely does anything and is being fought tooth and nail in the courts. I think they have all shown a lack of leadership and management ability and they all should get tossed out in Nov.

The financial mess has been caused by by years and years of poor leadership from parties on both sides of the aisle that represent every community in Illinois.

Cook County has the second greater population in the US. Its seat of government is in the 3rd largest city in America, plus Cook County holds two-thirds of the state population.

The governor and the majority of the legislature is elected by the voters in Cook County and Chicago. This is the same city and the same county that helped elect three men to the White House in three consecutive centuries (19th, 20th, 21st).

If you don't like your governor don't elect him.

Outside of rarely being sighted in Springfield, I don't think he's done anything to be impeached. You knew know ...

It is about the same winter as you have had in Connecticut but this is one of the worst winters in recent years for many states. Chicago gets so cold because of the Lakes and Lake effect snow and fog, otherwise it is no colder than any other city/state that has an actual winter.

so glad I'm not up north, the weathermen were saying we were gonna get rain - which we did - but they are having snow up north in Wisconsin and upper Michigan. But at least we didn't get an earthquake like in California or a tsunami like in India, or hurricanes like in some places around here. somehow thats about the only lucky feeling i have about chicago. excessive snow i can handle even though IT SUCKS,, but its going to tear your house off its foundation and blow it away.

Chicago has cold and snowy winters consistently. It's the nature of Chicago. As for this winter in particular though, it was actually the coldest winter (December-March) on record for Chicago.
Chicago Just Had Its Coldest Winter In History. Here's Proof.
