I was at Purdue for five years (late 90's early 00's) and we NEVER had a day off, even when the temperature was zero....only HUGE snowstorm I remember was during one Christmas break, all the other snow was at most 4-6 inches....

Lucky bastards, Slayter Hill will be CROWDED today and tonight (if the cops dont shut it down after what happened last week with the EMT getting drilled by snowballs)

the blizzard keeps going on here in Lafayette/West Lafayette and we have close to a foot of snow here. I'll be surprised if the schools open tomorrow morning.

I heard that the snow has changed to sleet down in Indy.

I dunno about the rest of you...but since we are covered in ~3 inches of slushy, slippery ice, I'm feeling pretty darn smart about shopping yesterday.

It wasn't panic shopping, but since Monday was a balmy 38F, I took advantage of the opportunity to do my weekly grocery run without donning a heavy coat, gloves and a hat. Felt like summer!

you were smart to stock up for this blizzard. We have a snow emergency up here in Tippecanoe County and no one is allowed out on the road unless it's an emergency.

schools are closed again tomorrow. Purdue starts up at noon.

Nothing wrong with being prepared.

Hope none of you get it too bad!

now I am beginning to wish that I was a little more prepared because I haven't spotted a snow plow yet in my area.

Holy shoo-molies! We have 4 inches of snow, 2 inches of ice and 4 more inches of snow. And this morning, it's beautiful! Blue skies. I'm revving up my camera. I hope to get some shots of the drifts and the utter calmness of it all.

Hubby is on his way to Columbus to go to work .. plaidmom, keep a lookout ok?

My oldest has been fighting 102-105 degree fevers since last friday ... sigh. I can get out of my driveway, thanks to the snowblower we purchased when we lived in Chicago.

SS, take care, hopefully you can get out sometime today.
