Hi, discontented lot owner

Now, we also have CAFTA (Central America Free Trade Agreement) - NAFTA, CAFTA. Wonder what that will do to us. You can thank our senators for that.

Great acronyms that you(and domergurl) came up with on NAFTA! (which of course I'm not a fan of either) I have to say I really loved seeing both of those!

Speaking of dumb trade agreements, it's time someone came up with some acronyms for CAFTA(the one Dubya signed into law a few months back)....

It wouldn't surprise me if many towns in Eastern Indiana were suffering, since my brother(who goes to Earlham College in Richmond) often mentions to me how Richmond, as much as it has somewhat of a successful retail strip area along east US 40(and that it does have some other interesting aspects going for it, such as the IU-East campus, and an arbouretum(sp?)), is economically depressed.

Not to mention I thought I remember him one time mentioning about factories years ago that used to exist in Richmond which closed down in recent years. Anyone know if this is true about Richmond or not? I've kept wondering if that's true about this city(wouldn't surprise me if it was).

Here's some food for thought- literally. Many of those los illegals are only here, because the NAFTA now allows giants like ADM and Cargill to sell corn in Mexico for prices that are less than it costs mexican farmers to grow it. Think about the ramifications of this! Most of these folks are only here, because our legislation destroyed their farm economies, along with our industrial base. What a sorry, d---ed mess! Thanks Washington, for hosing us yet again!

Default connersville

My family moved to detroit in 1937 from connersville when acd closed. detroit is just like connersville was 70 years ago. Everyone says that michigan seems to have it worst than any other state but I do not agree.
I think that things are bad for anyone that has to work for a living. The fat cats remain fat, we get cat food. Sorry to hear that things are so bad in Indiana. Isnt your governor a Republican?
