The Creator is called Allah in Arabic, Yahweh in Hebrew, God in English, Khodah in Persian and Kurdish, and other names in other languages.
These are only synonyms of One God: the Creator.
And there is no god (in the entire universe) but only God the Creator.
I don't think one that denies the Creator is any sane or has any wisdom.
You believe in something without having any proof. I think you should question your 'own' sanity and wisdom. Become a free thinker. Forget what you've been told by the elders....start from scratch and analyze for YOURSELF why you believe in the things you do. if you find no proof, be strong enough to see through the BS.
that's what i did. I went from Islam to Atheist in 2 short months!

A sane and wise individual will wish fellow humans, or keep it shut and ignore the thread.

Also, the reason i thought it appropriate for me to post in here is because i could relate to the OP in that i too was in his/her shoes....believing in fasting for the sake of worshipping a non-existing God. I wanted to share that because is a "child" can come to see through the BS, then an "adult" certainly should be able to! no?

yes you are right about the brought up and the born .
but then i became adult and i understand things and i have my own eyes , my own brain and my own heart and i can evaluate the clear right and the clear wrong and i do not take what others say blindly
and the human is not perfect some times you do not know if what he say is correct or wrong so you can not tke the right decision
but the things that comes from God then it is always right
read what God is telling you you will find that it is accepted by the natural and primitiveness hearts and brain
the word of God is the quran
we got the quran from the messanger of Allah Muhammed peace be upon him
and he he got from the angel Gbril and the angel got from God
now how do we know that Muhammed was really a messenger form God
even in his time and when the events are happening live to the people around him and he was supported by many miracles some people believed him and some did not believe and they fought him for 23 years
now in this current time after 1400 years
there are no more messengers and no more miracles except the quran and the prophet hadeeth
