I wasn't commenting on the article itself. I was commenting on a fact cited in the article.

I don't know who you think you're bull****ting with the idea that building didn't take place on former aglands but as a SJC native who can give you direct contact information of former farmers who sold out to PUD's in the late 90's and early 2000's, you're bull****ting the wrong guy.

In no uncertain terms, the building boom destroyed aglands and it wasn't just 'pine trees'.

So then blame the sellout farmers, not the transplants.

If you want to assign blame, there are several options (in no particular order)
Farmland owners who sold out
Planning commission which allowed rezoning from Agriculture to Residential
Developers who developed the land, put in roads, etc
Local government which did not prevent urban sprawl
Voters in the county for not getting involved earlier before the sprawl began

... all of the above.

Also, transplants from other places who move here and try to make (here) into wherever it is they came from back home.

There is enough blame to go around, it isn't exclusive to any one party.

Even tho I'm a FL native myself, I have to agree with this. They sold out and moved to the Carolina's. I cant blame the farmers for selling out and heading to NC nor can I blame developers for wanting to build on the land either.

Stupid rhetorical questions don't deserve serious answers.
If you seriously cannot fathom how a horde of people from (somewhere else) can move into an area and ultimately disrupt its quality of life and pervert its values, then what is the likelihood that I could 'explain' it in any way you would actually understand?
