Hi, My husband and I want to live in a loft downtown. We have a dog who is around 36-38 lbs. We are looking for something around $500-800/month, lots of windows/natural light, kitchen island with sink or stove would be nice, and definitely in a safe neighborhood. We were at the Chambers Lofts yesterday and when I tried to call and see if they allowed dogs, they said no. We LOVED that setup though. Any suggestions? We're not planning on moving until March but we want to do the research now so we're not rushed.

Are you looking to rent or own? What are you looking for in a loft (studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom). There are a lot of options, but it'll be hard to find some that are nice in the $500/month range.

We are looking to rent. I think we'll have to get a 1 bedroom with our budget. I think it will be in the $700/month range, more than likely and that is not a problem. Our rent is going up in Independence from 640 to probably 750.

We are actually thinking about the Crossroads district now. But, I can't find a way to get information on what lofts are available in that district. Anyone have any info on that?

Also, mommagonenutz, do you have an email address for John? Thanks!
