Especially around the Meadowmere Park area, River Oaks golf club, Grandview Community Center, etc.

Seems like overall crime numbers have gone up quite a bit since 1999. Any thoughts on this?

It didn't used to be a bad area. Has some nice houses, but the area is failing. I wouldn't move there... tho I don't think its horrible or anything, i just see it as soon to be sucked up by the rest of the Bannister area in decay.

Though that south KC area may improve after the Trails is built.... who knows.

I guess that could turn either way. It will either be sucked in by the failing Bannister or it will end up being a great place thanks to the cities of Belton and Raymore growing so rapidly bordering just south of Grandview. Either way, Grandview isnt a horrible place, but it does seem a bit uncertain of what it will end up being in the future.

Default Don't waste your time.

Grandview property is really cheap, and for good reason. Golf club is a joke. And area doesn't hold property value. Bad neighborhoods, bad neighbors. I had a friend who moved into a house right near there, she ended up stay 4 months and paying out on her lease after being robbed once a month.

I wouldn't live there and I grew up in Independence. Independence is pretty cheap but with a bit less of a crime problem. Also the "Grandview triangle" used to be really bad, but since I've moved away maybe it's gotten better. I somehow doubut it though.

Grandview was listed as on of the top 10 cities in the country that is falling fast and has some of the most foreclosures in the KC area. I would stay out of there.
