There are a lot of artists here on the island have you ever heard of Tom Lieber? I think you would want to be up on the North Shore because that is the more artsy fartsy side of the island. There are a few gallery's scattered around but not that much as say Maui or Oahu. There are a lot of other schools you could possible get a job teaching children. There is a great lady here that teaches art and her name is Denise Dion-Scoyni, become friends with her on FaceBook and I am sure she can help you a lot more then us.
