Went to see It's a Wonderful Life at the Tennessee theater last night. We even managed to drag both daughters and one boy friend along. OK, so we didn't tell them that it was a very old, black and white movie.

We all enjoyed it. I forgot the Burt and Ernie part.
It is truly a classic.
It's playing again today at 2 pm and 8 pm.

I was there, too! It's worth the price of admission just to be in the spectacular Tennessee Theatre. The Mighty Wurlitzer before the movie was a really nice touch, too. I took several friends there who had never before been in the Tennessee Theatre and they were stunned (and they live in Knoxville).

I'm glad you and your girls had a good time!

It's a Wonderful Movie!

The message holds up after all these years. It's hard to believe it was a box office failure when it was released. What a wonderful experience to see it at Christmastime in the grand old Tennessee theater.

It's a wonderful and delightful movie. Love Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed in it. It's nice to know movie theatres are showing old sentimental movies too, it's so unlike big cities where the 'old' is forgotten.

The Tennessee Theatre is the old fashioned kind, complete with a mighty Wurlitzer.
Historic Tennessee Theatre - Upcoming Events
The theatre usually has live productions but they do show older movies and have Wurlitzer matinees.
You can also see old movies downtown for free at Movies in Market Square on Friday nights. Bring your own chair and popcorn.
