Not to mention some soft drinks straight from Calle Ocho like malta, jupina, ironbeer, matelba. You Cubans here know what I'm talking about.

Yes please.

We have been to TN 4 times this past year and have drove around Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Seymour, Alcoa, Knoxville & all other areas around. We have asked other people in TN what they think about our idea and everybody has answered that cuban food only will not make it as there's a very small community of hispanics. We have been told that Cuban Restaurants open and close within a year.

As someone who has eaten at a few of them, consistency is the problem. Havana nights has not been in my opinion the greates on service, and the food is not consistent. I recently learned to make cuban pork and can say that if I could eat at a restaurant that served it I would be there.

I told my husband on Sunday I wanted a Cuban breakfast with the bread and cafe con leche, some croquettes too. Here, if I don't cook it, we won't eat it.
Well, FUN4Me, when you and Tico & Tony & I move there, 4 more Cubans will join the Knoxville community. Maybe you guys should join us in the venture of a Restaurant and we will have pastelitos, croquetas, empnadas, etc..Mmmm..Delicious!

Hey, by all your comments I can see you will definitely love to have a place with delicious Cuban dishes. How abt some Slow Spanish boleros on the background and a separate section for the wild crowd with a dancing floor to dance salsa music??? Yeahhh, Azucar!!

I thought that any new restaurant was suppose to plan to loose money the first year that they are open, maybe poor planning on their part. As with all new places you have to give it time, for the word to get around. Nothing is an over night success.
Hope you do come and start up a Cuban restaurant, we love the food.
