How are you getting used to the heat and for the old head residents how did you get used to it?

Default So Far So Good

I just moved here less than 2 weeks ago. I know that Las Vegas has had a pretty mild spring and I kidded with my former co-workers, "watch when I get here it will be 100 degrees or higher". Sure enough it has been 100 degrees or more every day. I was a little worried that the heat would be really hard to get used to, but so far I have it's not as bad as I feared. The lack of humidity makes a huge difference!!!

I've actually been enjoying the heat so far this year. My girlfriend can't stand it. I moved here in 09 for reference. Last year I was working with kids out in the heat every day though so I think I just sort of dove right in and got used to it.

Not an issue at all. The combined heat and humidity of the east coast is much worse than the stand-alone triple-digit heat here.

Right now, I'm hating the heat. It will pass by the time October comes. Just trying to get through the next 3 months will be interesting. Wish us luck on the power bills.

Been here for 12 days and love the heat. It sure is nice to wake up with the sun shining and hot days instead of chilly weather and rain. Friends back home still don't believe that 110 doesn't feel all that bad.

I have lived all of my life in the heat being I am from Phoenix originally. Although I do not like the heat, it is better than extreme cold and snow. If I could afford it, I would move to San Diego and enjoy near perfect weather year round.

I have a pool, and it welcomes me with a cool delightful refreshment anytime I get too hot
(which, BTW has yet to happen)

Lived in Vegea for nearly 20 years.

The heat is only a real factor about 20-30 days out of the year, if that.........absolutely no issue at 106 and below.

1. Low humidity
2. Sun not near as penetrating as in a place like Florida, which is closer to equater.

VEGAS provides some of the best overall weather that one will find in a city over 500,000...........
