LLV was beautiful but many months to years from being reasonably functional from what I saw last month. I wish it the best but it was a ghost town 4 weeks ago

Hate to be a Debbie Downer on this but I drove by RB on Monday and there is NO WAY they will be ready by end of year. Only 1 hole is currently being watered while all the others haven't seen a drop of water. The driving range hasn't been touched and aside from a little bit of brush clean up around the clubhouse, one couldn't tell anything has been done.

Falls on other hand looks incredible.

Nova, I thought the same thing, but Cody Winterton insists it will be ready for play by the end of the year. Apparently, they had roots tested on both the Falls and Reflection Bay and much of the grass on both courses are just dormant and will come back once the soil temps warms up 65 degrees and the watering begins. 25 employees have been pruning and pulling out dead plants. I'll find a Master HOA update and post here later.

If you haven't been to the park behind the fire station in LLV and walked the bike/walking trails, you are in for a treat. It's beautiful. You can see where Galleria Parkway will be and the vision of linking LLV to the parkway and the park and the trails. Cadence is moving forward quicky, lots of activity there.

I did confirm that Lyon homes is breaking ground on another subdivision between Luna and RB. Houses starting in the 700s and some lots directly on the lake and the 18th hole of RB. Also, another subdivision at the first round about on the right across LLV Parkway across from Belle Fiore set to start building. I saw the stakes over the weekend.

I had dinner last night at Bernards. Every outdoor table was filled at all restaurants. The pub was buzzing. There was a quiet/serene elegance to the crowd last night. None of the restuarants are complaining about business. In the next year or two, the village WILL be the gathering place for all of the permanent residents nearby, including Cadence and Tuscany with a direct route via Galleria.

PS: I also learned that all of trails in the upper Falls Course, which will soon be housing, will be left in tact. So, LLV will have walking trails galore!!!

I own a condo in Viera where I rent it out to a person fulltime for now. I went this past weekend (Saturday Morning) to see how the village was doing and it was very depressing to me at the lack of people. Most shops were closed and of course the Casino was closed. Everything was kept up and clean. I plan to retire there but it will always be a ghost town until more houses are built in the area. I also own a condo in Palms Place where there are tons of people. I like Lake Las Vegas better but without any people what is the use to retire there. It would be like living alone!

HolyToledo.. Saturday morning is not a busy time for LLV... It's still an evening and weekend place. I was there last weekend and once lunch started, the crowds came in.. At dinner, the place was busy.. LLV Village, is really nothing more than a shopping strip mall of sorts... most strip malls aren't busy in the morning either.

The Casino Montelago sign has been taken off the LLV Marquee. This is a good sign! A name change!!! The buzz I heard is they wanted to be open by Memorial Day. The other buzz is that Kam Sang/Hilton has hired a well known, popular operator to take over... Name recognition, large member base throughout the valley etc.

It's all coming together.. Be patient!

I don't get it why the people in Henderson do not appreciate Lake Las Vegas! It is very unfortunate that the businesses in the village lack customers. Shame really!

I reside on the other side of town and I really see no reason for me to drive all the way to Lake Las Vegas. We have enough on our side of town and even on the Strip with the opening of the LinQ and further down, Town Square.

Linq is the center of town. And the screwage on things that locals like (beer, food, music, etc.) is really at a minimum compared to other parts of the strip. A concert at Brooklyn Bowl, dinner, and a couple pitchers of beer split between friends amounts to not a whole lot of money. It's a nice venue.

Compare that to the restaurant where I work -- a shot of "nothing special" bourbon costs $25. My wife and I will be regulars at Brooklyn Bowl if they keep things the way they are now. If this is a loss leader and next month they jack the prices on everything, well, that's that.

Brooklyn Bowl is fun, we dined there and watched a concert at the same time, a couple of days after it opened. Now why pay for a concert when you can watch it for free. Wait 'till Brooklyn Bowl catches on, they will block the view from the restaurant, hehe. Looking forward to more of the restaurants opening at the LinQ in particular FAME and the Tilted Kilt. Yardhouse is always on standby and never a disappointment.

As far as Lake Las Vegas and the businesses, people in Henderson should patronize the place, after all, their city will be the one benefitting with higher tax revenues.
