Do I have to have a Nevada ID before I can file? I hear that I cant file for UE without an NV id. Is this true?

Davie, why don't you just get a Nevada License? They are easy to get and only cost $24. Not attacking you, just asking...

It took me MONTHS to get my license, because I had to deal with some non-existent traffic tickets from the state of Florida before Nevada would issue mine.

It took a certified letter from the Clerk of Courts in my town, insisting that I have a clean driving record, before Nevada would issue the license.

It was when they took paper claims. Not so sure now with phone and online claims processing. Try it and see. If so go get one. You shudda done that a long time ago anyways.

It's UI, not UE. And you'll also need your SS card too if they ask. But since you never see anyone in person when filing, the only way they can see it it is to make you send a copy. I don't think they are doing that now. It was really never necessary in the first place. Claims Examiners for Unemployment Insurance used to complain about it all the time because it caused them unnecessary stress when people inevitably argued about it.
