I am looking at some of the houses in this zip code and find prices are a lot cheaper. Any locals here who know about this area? Thanks and Happy New Year!

To be frank, it is not a good area.
If you go to any major city and look up crime, school and housing districts with a Martin Luther King St or Washington St, you will find that the area in not good, make no exception to Las Vegas.

I take it that you are from out of state?

Yes, I am from Cal. The property is located off Craig and Martin Luther King. Is it a bad area from a rental perspetive?

Not all of 89032 is near MLK. That used to be our zip code and we were a little ways away.

Craig and MLK is not that bad at all. Craig Road is the "borderline of safety". North of Craig rd, MLK does not even exist. Its called Camino Al Norte.

So north of Craig is generally better? Thanks for the info. We drove by 89032 before and felt the neighborhood looked to be OK, no graffiti and the stuff. What kinds of bads could it have, theft? robbery?

If you are north of Cheyenne and west of MLK, you are fine. Lot of nice neighborhoods in this the area. Do not listen to the NLV bashers on this board.
