No it's not a "4 day gig". MGM is going to use that space for ongoing events for years to come. Really they would build that comprehensive of a layout for 4 days...not.

He said "Rock in Rio".. that is to what I was referring, not the venue.

But he was referring to the amount of noise from the venue...that will be ongoing.

If one of these wealthy penthouse owners at Turnberry Place, who usually goes to sleep around 10am, and the noise prevents him from sleeping soundly, believe me! MGM and the Clark County Commissioners are going to hear about it! Perhaps even some calls to 311!

Let's not forget, these high condo's preceded this MGM venue! They have rights!

Lol...yep because MGM has no power...a wealthy penthouse owner. Tell me where does the wealthy penthouse owner's money come from? Tell me what the wealthy penthouse owner is doing in Las Vegas? I live in a condo tower with many wealthy people...so wealthy there are cars like a Bentley sitting in the garage for months and is just used when the owner comes to town for a few days. He doesn't come to town to sit in his condo. You also fail to realize money. Oh the penthouse condo owner is complaining about the noise...how about a suite, maybe some free meals...lol everyone has a price.
These people moved in fully knowing the location they were moving into could be loud.

Spring Valley has more residents, larger area and larger tax revenue than Summerlin. It is up to the residents to make the move and try to consider it and go from there.

It's legal for Rock In Rio to make some noise.

The HOA's of Turnberry Towers, Turnberry Place, Allure and Sky all had input regarding the noise issues with Rock In Rio at the permit hearings. Permits were issued allowing outdoor performances until 1:30 am each day and the site will remain in operation up to 2:30 am each day.

I went in there for the first time this past weekend. The place is hideous, but it keeps all the strollers and kids under one roof. It serves a purpose!

They don't seem to bother enforcing "no kids in the casino" there, so a win-win for parents who have toddlers and want to gamble!
