There is a ton of construction projects going on all over the strip(and valley). My job takes me to just about every one of them. I will agree that it is coming back.

That arena is such nonsense. I give it 0.1% chance of being built as designed.

I give both projects little hope of actually being completed.

I wonder what/who the driving force behind it really is.

Does the Pawn Stars location count towards busy activity on the north end of the strip?

Good stuff - but that location is quasi-Downtown.

Marketable plot of land and a potentially worrhy project down the road. I dont think the idea of an entertainment complex and arena is bad, just the location and the nonsense arena are. There is no need for 22k seats for an arena and even less need for a retractable roof. If they get an NBA team eventually it will be very similar to MGM arena size and certainly no retractable roof.

I kinda doubt that MGM would build this unless they found a need...so there's probably a reason behind the location & details.

Someone else will build it. I still believe the land behind Ballys makes sense for another arena. Obviously Caesars needs its mess cleaned up, but a few years to see how MGM arena works and a few more years of age at Ballys might do the trick. Eventually that will be a big redevelopment and arena would be a good piece. I think the proposal could be a good blueprint with reality modifications, then leave it to the casino people to build the frontage piece
