The Costco gas center I referenced opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m. M-F. Sat and Sun closes around 8:00 p.m. if memory serves me correctly.

I assume all locations would have similar hours.

Just went to Sam's Club today, price for regular unleaded was $2.49. Membership is $45 for the basic one. It's no Costco but it will do as it is much closer than Costco. (Until the Costco below Seven Hills is built.)

We just returned from a multi-week trip to Washington, DC, Williamsburg, and Charlottesville. We are paying a steep premium for fuel here. The highest price I saw near where we were staying in Arlington, Virginia was $2.15 per gallon. In Williamsburg, I paid $1.99 per gallon, and it was down to $1.95 at one station when we left after a week. Charlottesville had the lowest prices. I paid $1.93 per gallon, but if I had been able to find a Costco near us, I could have paid $1.79 per gallon.

A few years ago I would have agreed with you, but there are now two pipelines delivering fuel to Las Vegas. In addition to the Calnev pipeline from southern California, there is also the UNEV pipeline which originates from near Salt Lake City.
