As far as what else you said, no wonder when ever some one asks a question about Vegas it gets far more responses then the same question in any other city, state or country. I say this because.... using your examples one by one: there are few decent jobs here, few good paying jobs, little to no benifits unless you are in a casino (then you die of cancer young from the smoke), few have family here....few are from here, economic standing? Sheesh ! Not here. Safe and nice? Not even close.

Ahhh you poor young folk...your classical education has been so sadly neglected. Little Abner was pretty much the Doonsebury of the late 30s, 40s and 50s. Pretty much predates TV. Those of my generation are the last who grew up without TV or air conditioning. Gives a different life view.
