You also don’t seem to understand human nature. Without force there is zero chance of people following stay at home orders for 2+ months.

Believing polls in 2020. LOL.

Why can other countries do it without force and we can't?

Now that we know that, every state and country should immediately end their lockdown, including Oregon. Every day we wait is causing so much damage, with no science to support it.”
This is clearly incorrect, you can't take a look at the mortality rate in a vacuum. You're forgetting about the infection rate. A death rate of 0.1% (say that's the death rate for the flu) isn't scary on its own, but what if even 70% of the population get it? How many deaths is that? The answer is still too many.

Now take that death rate and go to 0.2%. that's huge. What if 80% get the virus. 0.3% is even more massive.

Take a look at Germany and see how their head of government talks, and see what affect the r0 number has on hospital systems. The reason we are not overwhelmed is because of the shutdowns. No we shouldn't shut everything down, but it was a good place to start. We didn't know everything that we know now. Without the shutdown things would be much much worse.

There is plenty of science, you are just ignoring it

Not really. It's the violent, sudden deceleration that can kill you - as in hitting a light pole or a wall or another vehicle.

Just responding to auto accidents, context matters unfortunately for you.

Also flattening the curve doesn’t mean we can’t still spike.

In the real world, everyone breaks every rule in the book and doesn't have any regard for how their actions might affect others.

On the internet all of the sudden, we REALLY don't want people to die.

The virtue signaling is amazing.

Possibly in your world. I know plenty of people that don't break every rule in the book. And plenty of people that do.

Your confirmation bias is amazing.

We did it for six weeks before the dam burst. Did anyone else do it much longer? Italy and Spain STILL have worse infections and death rates than we do and they both opened up a couple weeks ago.

China shutdown much longer....

They were also much stricter with their quarantines. Children weren't even allowed out of the house at all in Spain
