Interesting. My niece who is an MD trained in England has moved to Copenhagen. She was both an English and American citizen but chose Denmark even though she has had to learn Danish. I gather that after two years she is quite competent. About to get phD from the university there.

Those were the glory days. The mob understood value. Good employees were treated like gold with generous kickbacks. Scumbags got fingers chopped off. America had a strong middle class that flew into town in their Sundays best clothes, went out to see a show with their sweetheart and gambled generously at the tables, later a steak dinner. Civilized people. What do we have now? Degenerate, obese you tube stars that gamble on penny slots and eat the whole damn buffet. Corporate emasculated nerd boys that cook up schemes to nickel and dime you for every petty thing. A great movie that documents this lame decline is the movie The Cooler staring Alec Baldwin and William H Macy.

Do they not have to abide by HIPAA laws? They cannot openly share that information without being given consent from the employee I wouldn't think.

Further, I'd imagine if Joe was there on Monday and then Joe doesn't show up the next two weeks to a month, it's easy to deduce he probably tested positive. From what I understand, if someone has been in direct contact with an employee that tests positive, they are pulled aside and are told and asked to be tested. At least that is what several people on the vegaslocals Reddit said. I can't remember which company they were with.

This is pretty uncharted territory I'm afraid. I've now been unemployed since March and cannot find an IT job to save my life. I can understand those that are willing to risk it if they do not have any savings to fall back on. That's without even getting into the Government refusing to work together to take care of the people. With PUA going away soon, eviction moratoriums coming up soon and the state announcing today that reserves are getting really low, the people are going to bare the burden and the brunt of it.

HIPAA is an obstacle to contract tracing in a pandemic. The law was only designed during normal circumstances, but lawmakers could have never foreseen a 1918-like pandemic in 2020. When it was enacted, the 1918 Flu just became a distant memory; a history lesson rather than living memory.

Pandemics have occured from time to time and we all knew another one was coming ... but not precisely in 2020 and who knows if lawmakers have any foresight at all.

Lawmakers had foresight alright. See Obama's address to the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in 2014 -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w50tZonOgoU. Go to 14 minutes in the video to see how he predicts another pandemic was inevitable and we need to be prepared. But his message was ignored much to our current detriment.

The casino-mandated testing forms include a consent requirement for sharing information. It's all done by UMC and you have to agree that your employer gets the information, and from then on it's fair game. Source: personal knowledge.

Agree. Obama's NSC drafted a plan and created a group of experts to be lead the effort should a pandemic occur. The stable genius threw away the plan and fired the people in 2018.

Having worked at the higher levels of the Army for a while I can tell you that there are "plans" for many contingencies where the Army might be called upon to respond. Having a plan to handle a pandemic was solidly good planning work and is what government should be doing -- taking steps to protect us.

Wow, so you have talked to ALL of them and they ALL said the same thing? Casinos seem to be trying to protect their employees.

Please quit projecting your view on a large group without any basis - this is YOUR viewpoint - it is NOT reality.
