Note that with bundles you are often prohibited from taking advantage of offers that unbundled subscribers receive, and may not even be able to subscribe to the same packages as unbundled subscribers. There are lots of complaints over at satelliteguys.us from people who say the $5 savings was not worth the restrictions, and they would never subscribe to a bundle again that included satellite TV.

Anybody aware of the regulatons governing connections to Cox and such?

Got a client in the NW..inside the 215 at the NW corner. Cox won't connect...says it is too far.

There is a connection on the next block south...about 300 feet as the crow flies but likely around 1000 by road.

Anyone know who governs this franchise? I suspect it may be Nevada though I am not sure.

I saw an interview on TV with Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller complaining about Cox not being able to make a connection to his home here in Vegas. Somehow he pulled some strings by complaining to a Cox exec and got them to run a 1/4 mile install on their dime just so he could have highspeed internet.

Individual cities have the authority to grant cable TV franchises.

well let us see if we can find a Clark County equivalent. That one would be a pain for our client. They are 300 feet from the street anymore the cable.

I suspect it is a bigger number in the county.

Does require an equitable extension however. Maybe something there.
