This is kind of cool (new Mexican restaurant at Aria) and that chainsaw mural is awesome, but I'm not sure that staring at skeletons and violent Mayan imagery make me hungry, and based on the last photo in the gallery attached to the article, I'm definitely not having the fish.

Mexican restaurant's design includes a rope canopy and chainsaw wood mural - VEGAS INC

A 30 minute meal break (unpaid) is required for an 8 hour shift.
Kmart got REAL sneaky about getting around that 30 minute break law. When I worked at the Kmart on Washington and Buffalo during Xmas 2010, I would get scheduled 7 hr and 45 minute shifts. I'd come into work at noon, and get off at 7:45 pm with just one 15 minute break. Nobody ever got scheduled more than 8 hours except managers there

In Iowa you are to have a 30 minute break if you work over 6 hours. Sounds like that is a better way to ensure employees get breaks

Companies do things like this and then wonder why they have such high turnover and training costs, and why employee theft is rampant.

I didn't complain about it, though a LOT of others did. I don't necessarily need a 30 minute break, just a few minutes to put some food in my stomach and an ice cold Pepsi and I'm good. There is usually too much to get done in that taking a break is detrimental to my productivity. I only take breaks when I HAVE to

I often ate at my desk and worked at my last place of employment, but I was on salary (which meant they owned me 24-7) Hourly employees are not supposed to be treated like that. When I was a manager, my employees were treated like human beings. I hope one of your co-workers brought that "no break" situation to the proper authority. In addition to it being illegal and in-ethical to deny your employees breaks, it's also counter-productive, especially in customer service positions.

Hungry, thirsty, grouchy people don't do well in the customer service arena. A fifteen minute break can make all the difference.

I would have complained. I used to work at the Otter pop factory eons ago in Riverside,Ca and they would give us three 15 minute breaks in a 10 hour work day. I thought that sucked, because I like to eat really slow, and I could never finish my lunch. I was always starving there. Plus it would have been nice to get a little longer to rest my legs since I had to stand all day. I quit after 2 weeks and went to another factory where they gave us 30 minute lunches and two 10 minute breaks in an 8 hour day. The bonus was that I could walk to it in 15 minutes so that cut down my traveling time.
