I tried for a second job at the KMart on Washington in Summerlin. The interview this past Friday went very well and I was told I would hear from them by Monday, never happened

Tried a follow up call and I was told "The hiring manager said to tell everybody she is going through the applications and she'll call you if she has anything" then she hung up. The lady who answered said it in such a terse and short tone that I dont want to call them back

Go down there ask to speak with her. Did you apply at Lowes or Home Depot? Looks like Lowes is hiring.

I hope that they're hiring cashiers. I don't know anything about home improvement.

I think Lowes is the better choice between them and Kmart. Lowes is still expanding, building more stores.

Home improvement is easy to learn. What's to know? Lumber for building things. Paint for painting. Hardware for doors, windows, sinks, tubs, etc. And after being there awhile, you get to learn as you go. I may just apply at Lowe's. There is one not far from me at Jones/Craig.

Anybody read in the article in today's paper: Speeding crackdown yields 773 tickets, with 1071 drivers stopped in a two-week time span in Henderson?

And how many of those ticketed will fall for the next campaign to raise the sales tax to increase our police force?

Our economy is dire straits, think of all that money people will be spending on paying their tickets and not spending it elsewhere.

They might have had lots of applicants and want to take the time to select that best one. You never know, the lady that answered the phone might have already answered the same question dozens of times already.

Worried about my"niece" who will be visiting Vegas soon. She can find no girlfriend with the money or time off available to go to Vegas with her and her grandmother. She thinks she will be safe in a crowded casino lounge at night. I don't think so. Too many bad people in this world. Any guided nightlife tours a young woman (mid 20's ) might enjoy?

I did some searching and came up with this. For $49 this looks like an awesome deal.

Las Vegas Nightclubs Club Hop Party

Thanks LVD!. That is exactly what I was looking for. The only problem is that she will only be there Mon, Tu, Wed. I did find a Las Vegas Nightlife tour that she might enjoy. It doesn't include clubs but she will get to see the sights at night.
