Yeah I heard that too, from a cop who pulled me over cuz I had too many Vanillaroma evergreen tree airfreshners hanging from my rearview mirror. He let me slide, but he mentioned the Broadway Mall's days are numbered and that they're gonna turn it into the world's biggest indoor bouncy castle - except it's going to be for adults and have a South Pacific themed nightclub... kind of like Pleasure Island at Disney World but with bouncing, poignant musical numbers and a WWII motif.
I hope he was kidding. It sounds lame and I dont want that to happen. ive noticed a lot of changes, old stores such as GAP closed down and new stores came in right away like Express. I doubt if it will go down anytime soon, I hope NOT.
Sounds like a rumor started by Ikea to keep people out of the food court and reel them in for their $2.99for 47 Swedish meatballs lunch special.
It's worth a trip to Ikea for that alone!! Lingonberries meatballs and Potatoes. WTF are you going to eat at that food court that's better than that? Now give me some incredibly destructible Pine furniture.
I would be sort of surprised if that mall closed. You'd think they'd get enough spillover from Ikea and Target to keep the smaller stores in business. And it's a decent alternative if you want to avoid the crowds at Roosevelt Field.
Haven't been in the Broadway Mall except for Ikea in a long time, but I recall it having an air of quiet desperation about it. Stores with less and less impressive names, stores selling outright junk (that crappy store that sells "world artwork" is usually a sign that your mall sucks), kiosk guys harassing people as they walk, food court taken over by dodgy Asian places. Reminds me of the Galleria in White Plains if you know what I'm talking about.
TJ's first post was on 04-05-2011, 12:55 PM, and as a fact, was directed at you. The only changes that I'm seeing between you and he, are the scores.
He signed on in April, tho you signed on in January. Make your own analysis pequadude, look at the number of posts that TJ has issued, compare his rep points
to the number of posts and make your own deduction as to the big difference between the two of you. For some of the people about here, it's more a matter
of striving to put out quality posts, that isn't to say or to intimate that you are devoid of merit, it's closer to making the differentiation between thoughtful and
enlightening posts and "bulk filler". Sometimes, it's just as simple as entertaining others, complimenting them where you feel it is in order and not being contentious
where it isn't necessary. I see and appreciate your eagerness to continue posting but I clearly understand your reason for struggling so hard to succeed, but not
really cutting the muster, and as always, I want to give you my candid advice, moreso, my honest opinion, tighten up your game, dude...
