I moved into Levittown ten years ago and love this community. It has a lot of lovely homes that have been renovated. It is convenient to stores and major parkways. I am in the Island Trees school district and love it! It is smaller than the Levittown school district. I am happy to say that this neighborhood and gotten better in the past 20 years. Sometimes Levittown gets a bad rap because the homes are without basements and are "cookie cutter" homes. I too love basements but it was a trade-off I was willing to accept and made a huge den instead. A lot of my neighbors have updated and dormered their homes. This is a great family oriented town

I have a friend that has a home there as well. I like it it is nice. To me it is no longer cookie cutter as a great many have updated and changed the look of their homes., i think that is great !!

Wouldn't bother me a bit about the basement, as I find basements a pain in the ass with leaks and dampness anyway.

I would love a little house like that, sounds perfect to me.

I agree. I am 5 year resident with 2 young children in the Island Trees S.D. section. My husband and I are a professional couple and we were a little hesitant to buy here because of reputations. The reps are really not accurate for where we live...it is very nice. It is so family friendly, safe, and such a nice community. We have a rear expanded and front-dormered house with plenty of room. You have to really look to find unexpanded, cookie-cutter homes by me. I hate basements and don't miss them. I am very happy we bought here!
