I would just say go to one of those cost of living comparison calculators but the one's I have seen are so out of date and don't account for the housing bust. My guess is 110k in nassau/suffolk is equivalent to 80-90k in most of Penn. If you can live the life you want on 80k where you are then I think it would be ok to move here for 110k especially since you might be able to make much more over time here as there are generally more opportunities to move up then in a more rural part of the country.
I think your guess may be off. I just checked realtor.com in a few random NE PA towns...mid century splits listed at 390-450K on LI are listing for 250K there. And they list less than 10 year old 2800 sq foot houses for high 3's that you couldn't touch for less than 600K here.
That alone and the difference in property taxes makes for a very substantial difference in cost of living.
Now, I don't know if Plainfield TWP Pa is a suburban slum or not, but they sure have some big houses for under 400K.

Big houses and lots of land, that's for sure. No doubt PA is a good choice for retirement. It does compare to deep Suffolk in many ways, RH. QOL/amenities though is another issue that favors LI by far.
Still though, I'd be careful and do proper DD before buying in any TWP. There are many that are like giant Wyandanches. Your kids will probably join a gang or sell drugs. Huge drug rings are actually using cheap COL parts of PA because of the close proximity to NY metro.

I've heard similar things about some towns in NE PA, no question which is why I brought up the "suburban slum" idea.
Wouldn't make much money levying 59 cents in property taxes on those beaters driven out in SuffDump.
You cold try Freeport, Hempstead, Hicksville, Bay Ridge and of course Massapequa.
A simple search on MLSLI yielded 25 3/2 homes in Massapequa alone.
(Some even with blue ribbon schools)I wouldnt expect to find any in Massapequa Park since its so obviously on par with Garden City. You'll hace to ask Gps about Nashole, hes the Mayor of Simpleton and clearly has great affection for Suffdump.
All ballbreaking aside Im relatively certain 350 does you fine in Nassau and Suffolk.
