I totally agree. A waste of time and space to discuss what we all know as an undeniable truth...Suffolk is a DUMP

Suffolk is not a dump, most of it at least isn't. It's just that once you cross the Sagtikos/Sunken Meadow Pkwy then there's really nothing special the island has to offer anymore besides the Hamptons and maybe a few other tourist traps.

When will people on this forum realize that GPS says things like that solely to get under people's skin.

And to the OP, I too can't beleive there is another thread on this. To people in Nassau - Ronk is most certainly far away for the NYC/LI region.

In other states is 50 miles from a major city considered far? no.

But here? yes. Get over it.

I'm glad people think I live far away, why does it bother you so much??? you need to get a hobby.

This thread is hilarious lol! Truly entertaining.

I'm in Nassau county and would never consider a move past 110. Hubby (and myself in a year) work in the city. A 4 hour a day commute sounds ugly, no thanks!

In my opinion, you live in the sticks/ boonies or whatever you like to call it. You made that choice to live there, so who cares what other people think? Be proud of where you are and stop name calling

Ding, ding, ding, ding! And we have a winner!

Not that I'm complaining. Lemons, lemonade, and all that jazz. Look at it this way: That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and even Long Island, with all of its problems and issues and...characters...still offers electricity, indoor plumbing, heat, and clean water, which is more than many, many people in the world have.

Dang, there I go, getting all soft again.
