No longer live on LI, and havent heard much in media about Billy Joel. Any boots on the ground down there heard anything in local media, or hearsay..what's the Piano man up to nowadays?
I can't say he sucks, but he is so boring and played out at this point, especially by boring Long Islanders, that if I never heard another word from his mouth or song of his on the radio, I wouldn't feel bad about it. Billy Joel and red sauce Italian=boring.
I will always think Billy Joel is pretty cool. I haven't dusted off his greatest hits CD in some time but I don't mind hearing him once in a while.
While never a fan myself, He is talented. Perhaps after so many years in the industry, The failed marriages and alcoholism he just needs a break in his later years.The road life and rigors are not easy. I think If he put on a show it would sell out very quickly.
