Can people recommend neighborhoods where there is large predominately Christian community - preferably Evangelical. We know that there are many Jewish on Long Island. Do they tend to live in their own neighborhoods, or are they dispersed through the Long Island? What neighborhoods are these. Are there homosexual communities, or are they only in New York City. Are there Islamic people, or are they only in New York City as well? Thank you for any help!
I'm going to pretend that this is a serious query and say that we do have evangelical Christians here and there is a mega church right in Dix Hills. You can spend your free time there and not contact people you wish to avoid

I had to pop back in because this is too much. What makes people feel the need to 1. Mock minorities for their very real concerns about alienation and. 2. Make fun of Evangelical Christians by painting them as xenophobes and homophobes.

My honest answer is the original poster set the tone. She is looking for a Christian preferably Evangelical area and then essentially asked if the Jews, Homosexual and Islamic remain in their own neighborhoods.
In my opinion, the poster wanted to know she would have to mingle with "those" people. I may be wrong, but she didn't ask specifically about Catholics, or Irish or Italian etc.

That's who I am talking about. OP is a troll.

Because there is a bored 23 year old living in mom's basement on this board who switches user names to stir the pot. And this thread will be 10 pages before long so, bravo to the OP.

To the OP, if this post is real, you probably should stay away from LI. There are neighborhoods which have a higher concentration of certain groups on Long Island, but you will pretty much find a little bit of everything in most areas of Long Island. You really won't find any areas that are heavily Evangelical. That isn't to say Evangelicals don't exist on Long Island, but not in high numbers.

This looks like a troll post to me, yet nobody gets upset or calls it unusual when people ask where the heavily Jewish, Asian, etc. neighborhoods are. Just saying.

Asking for "large predominately Christian community - preferably Evangelical" is no different than the examples you showed.

Then saying "We know that there are many Jewish on Long Island. Do they tend to live in their own neighborhoods, or are they dispersed through the Long Island? What neighborhoods are these. Are there homosexual communities, or are they only in New York City. Are there Islamic people, or are they only in New York City as well? "

That's the issue, trying to identify where those groups that the OP must view as less desirable are located; most likely so they can be avoided.
