By the Way, just in case some of you neuvo Islander's think the energy problems on the Island is something new, it isn't. Like most of the problems currently being faced, they've been around for quite a while. Props to the Island for somehow always carrying on burdened with problems that would have crushed some other locales.

More of these kind of cables could be the answer as the Island is at the point where it just can't be self sufficient for energy.

Myth....the problem you have along with another in this thread is you jumped into the story for wind generating power a few years to late...

The reason it was turned down was because in the YEARS PEOPLE complained about a eye sore 3 miles out to sea...the price for wind mills climbed higher and higher...finally after years of idiots complaining about there ruined views while walking the beach straining there eyes and walking with there head turned to see the windmills 3 miles out....the price went up and up and up...to finally they waited it out long enough to get over priced..
