Yes, they are. Have you ever been in one? Friends lived in one and had to move. One of the bedrooms was so small there was no usable closet. Master closet was so small the husband kept his work clothes in the living room closet.

I guess it depends on what one considers tiny.
I think 2500 square foot is too big.
I think 1500 is perfect.
I think 900 is cozy. Easy to keep clean, cheaper to renovate and update.
