Won’t happen in your lifetime. Unless of course, we get to see the miniaturization of nuclear power cells. Then we get to figure out how to dispose of all the nuclear waste we generate from it every year. Commercial landscapers won’t use battery powered blowers because they can’t be charged effectively while on the road going from house to house. Unless of course, they get to start their gasoline generators the entire time they are at the properties they service so they can charge their batteries. Which brings us back to square one.
It’s a conundrum that outlast you and I for generations until the proliferation of hydrogen powered small engines. And so the debate over gasoline powered leaf blowers will rage on for generations to come. You might as well just give up now.
I think you're mistaken as this is already happening in many (hundreds) of towns... there are a half dozen that have banned them on long island alone...one happens to be the biggest town per capita.. a little place called North Hempstead

And the net effect of all these Karen’s that want to ban leaf blowers is that the price of landscaping services will go up if they have to spend more time raking leaves, not to mention the extra fall and spring cleanup. Let’s see our landscaping prices get jacked up, YAY!!!

So what? Folks can:
Get the yard landscaped less often.
Or do the yard work themselves.
Or if you have able bodied kids, have them do it
Or pony up a bit more for a company with electric machines or one that will rake. Only $35 to $45 for 4 men to spend 20 minutes on your property each week, with most of the cut going to some lazy company owner so one can pretend they are upper middle class is bullcrap anyway.
Lazy ass bougie sissies are an invasive species on Long Island.
Because neighbors are lazy or cheap, we have to hear and breathe this crap in all the time.
Was anyone here alive during the 50s or 60s and old enough at that time to have a recollection? Were neighborhoods a mess? Did people have no time for fun? I'm going to just guess...that neighborhoods were plenty neat...quieter...families spent time together raking leaves on occasion...and folks actually had more free time than they do today.

If they ban them, also cease or slow down performing all enforcement of property maintenance issues generated by lack of leaf removal and refuse to accept complaints for the same.

If you ban leafblowers, all the leaves will stay on the ground and people won't see their lawns. Over time all homes and cars and people will be buried under leaves. We cannot allow this tragedy to happen.
