Did you try and ask any companies Maybe rip the roof yourself clean it up yourself and pay the company to finish it? That’s he the further I would want to take it personally.
I just re sided my house and did stone. I had 1300 square feet of brick that we took down. I was thinking of doing it myself and have the contractor finish. After watching 4 people break their back and move 20 tons of brick and cement mortar I was glad I didn’t do it myself to save a couple grand. I wouldn’t walk right for 2 weeks.
I resided the front of my home.
Then, had a new roof with architectural shingles put in in a 1400 sf home.
Was charged 9 grand cash.
Copper was used to flash around the chimney and electrical service mast.
Was charged 10 grand for everything. They were done in a day for the roof. Another day for the front siding.

It was done in 2017.
Which company did it? Did they add the new gutters that extended out against the roof to prevent ice from expanding up against the roof slope? I ask because I see so many roofers misdated use the old gutter system that doesn’t extend up against the roof.

I'd have to look up his card somewhere. It was recommended to me by a neighbor after Sandy.
The roof deteriorated beyond repair after Sandy and we had a few leaks.
Gutters, the previous owner had new ones put in before selling.
And yes, the gutters extend past the roof.
We had an inspector come in. Paid $200 and he said everything was great. He made a few notes about having to replace a few windows but that was it and outside of what we hired him for.
You are making it sound like it rains/hails here 24-7. To be honest I love the sound of rain pinging off a metal roof. It’s relaxing to me.
