*is your employer requiring you to be vaccinated??

Just curious what the general consensus is - if your employer is requiring employees to be vaccinated and what profession you're in.

No mine is not. I am a licensed insurance broker. But he is glad that I am fully vaccinated. he is germ phobic.
It's only two of us in my office. If I decided not to get vaccinated I think it would be ok.

Can companies legally do this?

I guess if you didn’t get vaxxed you couldn’t get fired but you just wouldnt be able to come to the office and maybe will have to work from home?

Do people openly ask each other whether or not they have gotten the vaccine? have there been any discussions about it? Or it was simply "it seems safe to come back into the office so that's what we are doing" with no mention of vaccines?

Just wondering how other companies on LI are handling it.

They can't make require it.

My company asked if we had or not, but whether or not you responded was entirely up to you.

Companies can require you to be vaccinated with exceptions of course. That's been well established.

My company is not, but we're all still working from home. I WFH permanently anyway.

Sure they can, with a couple of very narrow exceptions that don't usually apply. A company could also fire you because they don't like the direction you parted your hair that morning.

Yup only thing they can’t fire you for is racial, sex, age discrimination. And even then you have to prove it.
