Laws are broken daily, paper doesn’t stop bullets. Law enforcement is reactive, and only comes into play once a law is broken, so the clock starts ticking once they’re aware of an event. Once you’re in an active shooter situation time, training and leadership stop active shooters. Adequate training and proper mindset of resource officers goes a long way to saving lives.

Remember: A motivated individual with a plan and initiative will usually succeed in what they set out to do, unless you can figure out what they are up to first. 9/11 wasn't pulled off with AR-15s but by...motivated individuals with a plan and initiative. The Boston Marathon bombing was pulled off, once again, by motivated individuals with a plan and initiative. Laws don't fix that.
Sometimes innocent lives are taken in gang shootings but when you can't even feel safe dropping your kids off at school, shopping in a supermarket or going to church in middle class neighborhoods that is far and away a greater impact.

Texas poured millions of dollars into training police and security at schools after a prior shooting, they were still not prepared. Best to address our gun problem that exists in no other country in the world, no one should be able to acquire the type of power that is available in our country, no one needs an AR-15.

Believe me no resource officers aren't going to be able to handle this, better to have strict laws rather than fooling ourselves that we have an armed solution.
That already happened in West Hempstead except the shooter was 30, not 18.

Yeah, now you know how people who live in gang infested areas live.

Or a pressure cooker. Or car. Or any other weapon. A motivated individual with a plan and initiative will usually succeed in what they set out to do, and will find a way to do it. You can ban whatever you want, but the bad guy will find a way.

Are you referring to this training?
https://www.kxan.com/news/texas/uval...w-its-working/

Or the 8 hour "Terrorism Response Tactics - Active Shooter" course, which is not the kind of training that I'm talking about.
