NYS to ban Native American Names...... could cost 100s of thousands of $$ per district.

Well, they’re saving money by letting the violent criminal types go on about their violent business so the state can focus on this (non) issue they’ve created.

Will Syosset change its name? (Syosset is an Indian word.)

First it was Uncle Bens, then Land O Lakes, then Aunt Jemima, and then the Cleveland Indians. ( I know that NYS did not do this just making a point) WTF! BTW could not open the link.

Only applies to school mascot names, its state education board ruling. Although it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they decide town names and streets are "racist" too some day and try to force changing those as well...

Apparently thats ok...... they are only targeting Native American names... so apparently we can use names for other ethnic groups and its OK.
