Sunrise Drive In (at Green Acres). I saw the last show there. It was Night of the Living Dead.
I saw shows at The Westbury Drive-In in it's last year...I kinda miss DriveIns...I wish someone would have figured out a better way to make money with them so we could still keep them around.
I'm also surprised there aren't more amusment parks but I 'spose that's b/c they're seasonal.

I heard a rumor, while at Sayville Summerfest, that there might be one in development out east.
I grew up going to the Commack Drive In, I was a kid and my Dad used to take us there no matter if it was summer or winter! He loved drive-ins. As I grew up, I started going to the Westbury Drive-In... now those were great times!

Have you been to the new movie theater in it's place? Not a bad theater, but yes, I even went to the drive in once. Very nostalgic.
Does anyone remember the Copiague Drive-In on Sunrise Hwy? I think it closed down by 1975 or 1976.
Sure do. I remember the igloo type structure they had in the playground from when I went as a kid, and remember us trying to sneak in an extra person as teens. Never worked except maybe once when we had something like 7 or 8 people stuffed into a Fury II and they miscounted.
