Talk to your loan officer and ask him if he completed the registration process. If he/she did it, then you are going to be okay.

My loan officer, who is with the nation's largest lender, only received notice of this at 4:20 pm yesterday. There was never any mention of a deadline for registration! I should not be surprised, yet I still am.

What my lender can do is guarantee a November 30 closing if all docs are in by October 31. So my buyers can still take advantage of the $8000 credit at this point.

Just spoke to my loan officer and was told that we were ok since she completed the registration process for me. Right now wait for approval. thanks.

Note: As of October 19, 2009 Mortgage Credit Certificate funds are only available for homes purchased in Target Areas.

I was just forwarded my reservation with MCC... loan officer said we're def in and that it looks like we just made the mark since funds were exhausted for non-target areas! Looks like we should be fine... hoping to get the cert in the 48 hrs that it took for someone else (sry if it was you.. im forgetful!)
