^^ Not rich here either. I cut alot of extra spending and saved so I could live in a desirable town. Have you looked into Sound Beach, Rocky Point or Ridge. They are all nice towns that are a little easier on the wallet.

I was in Shirley today...I got to admit, if there was one place on the island where I wanted to buy cheap and hope for improvement it would be Shirley. They are really cleaning it up out there, especially those new shopping plazas at William Floyd and Montauk going east. Looks like Mastic is getting all new roads and sidewalks. Its making good improvements over the past 5 years.

They just need the schools not to be awful and its a good buy.
